Improve power quality of charging station unit using African vulture optimization algorithm

In recent years, there is growth in acceptance to consume fewer fossil fuels globally and the manufacturing of electric vehicles (EVs) has become more popular. However, increase number systems connected grid that contain EVs with a huge power capacity leads unstable working system. To assess stability charging station several control approaches AC part DC parts during mode discharging modes are tested. African vulture optimization algorithm (AVOA) been utilized tune system controllers (proportional integral derivative (PID)/tilt (TID) controllers). The superiority AVOA confirmed by comparing performance genetic (GA). Two objective functions have used i.e. time absolute error (ITAE) square (ISTE). AVOA-tuned TID using ISTE were found be best frequency deviations. results shown within an acceptable limit recommended IEEE standard. Further, maximum peak overshoot, undershoot, settle obtained PID best. Finally, improvement index over its counterpart GA confirmed.
